It depends which OJ Simpson case you're referring to, his murder trial, his civil wrongful death case, or his kidnapping/armed robbery case. His aquittal for the murder trial stunned and shocked the white community and proved that justice is colorblind after all. The color of money, not skin. The civil trial was a measure of justice for the Brown and Goldman families, and to a smaller degree, Dective Mark Furman. And with his last trial, the kidnapping/armed robbery trial, the community can sleep a little easier knowing Simpson is behind bars for a while.
No but she did commentary on the national news during the trial.
In legal trials the defendent is the person accused, the prosecution has to prove the charges against the defendent. In civil court such as OJ Simpson's wrongful death trial he was the claiment and the plantiff was the Brown and Goldman families.

Since OJ Simpson was aquitted of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman the case is technically unsolved and open. But I sincerely doubt that much energy is spent looking for the guilty party. With the civil trial finding Simpson responsible for the two deaths it would be a waste of taxpayers money to persue the case any further.

Yes, but HIGHLY unlikely. In a civil case the state is under no obligation to spend the taxpayers money to transport and guard the incarcerated individual involved in a civil trial.
A judge can dismiss a case prior to trial if he believes there is a matter of law that prevents it from being tried. If the prosecutor has stipulated to certain facts, it may make any trial a waste of the taxpayers' money.

The OJ Simpson trial, also known as the People v. Orenthal James Simpson, was a criminal trial in 1995 where Simpson was acquitted of the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. The Tom Robinson trial is a fictional trial in Harper Lee's novel "To Kill a Mockingbird," where Robinson, a black man, was falsely accused of raping a white woman and was ultimately convicted despite overwhelming evidence of his innocence, highlighting racial injustice in the legal system. The key difference is that OJ Simpson was acquitted, while Tom Robinson was wrongfully convicted.
