I enjoyed the fist Artemis Fowl book over the holidays between grade six and year seven, although I suppose it would differ from person to person. Also note that it has a bit of a slow start, so don't just put it down after a page or two.
As time passes through the series, it depends on each book.
Well, Artemis started out as 12, And in the latest books he is 14, almost 15, and legally 18.
In 2012, Artemis technically turns 21 (legally 24), counting the 3 years he skipped.
(this is considering that he was 12 in 2000.
He Will probably be 15. Because in the seventh book , the author mentioned about his 15th birthday . If you read the Exclusive expert of AF 8 : The Last Guardian , it said that Artemis's mental recovery takes 6 month . So he is about 15 and half .
Physically he is 14 because of the time stream mishap in the Lost Colony, but he is actually 17
He is 14 physically but he is legally 17 due to the time stream mishap in The Lost Colony
He is fiteen in the Atlantis complex. The first chapter opens up as his fifteenth birthday.
