5’4” - if you watch the YouTube of Cavett and Sammy Davis Jr., who was generally thought to be be 5’3”, comparing height back-to-back and shoeless, Cavett appears to be pretty darn close to Sammy’s height, at the most sometimes appearing slightly taller, generously possibly 1” taller. (Note: don’t mean to be formal about Richard Cavett’s name but the forum won’t let me use his normally-used nickname because of it unfortunate use as a term for an appendage sometimes!)
