Peter van Pels (November 8, 1926 -May 1945) was the son in the other Jewish family hiding with Anne Frank's family. He was sent to Auschwitz with Otto Frank and died after becoming sick on a work detail just before the camp was liberated. He was 18. If he had lived, he would have been 90 years old in 2016.
