How to get mew in Pokemon Soul Silver?

Mew is one of the 40 or so Pokemon that cannot be found anywhere in Pokemon Soul Silver. You have to trade one in or wait for the 12th (i think) anniversary Mew to come to you country.
U have to go to a event the last one was last week. October. I have one! :) Or trade

First you get all Kanto gym badges And co in the cave that is close to where you catch Suicen go in and do the EASY maze. When you come to the end Mewtwo you can use a master ball (Like I did). And if you make it faint don't worry just battle the E4 again 8-)

Ignore what these people said. You can't get normal mew in SS, unless you have a Japanese game and got the event that already passed. But so far, you can't get mew yet, since the English event of mew didn't come out yet. You can only get Mewtwo, which is at the end of Cerulean Cave. (You have to beat the E4 I think 2 times at the least, and beat Red. Otherwise, some guy won't let you inside.) Note: Mewtwo is at level 70. You can't get Mew yet, but it might happen in the future.

You must catch all legendary Pokemon(exluding event Pokemon) then talk to prof.oak and he will give you "Auroara ticket" go to vermilion flash ticket and

go to birth island and find me NOTE:Bring lots of ultra balls and a low level Pokemon then a high level Pokemon High level must know hypnosis and/or thunder wave sleep powder will work too. send out your low levl and use 1 super effective move then have a Pokemon witth rock smash kepp using rock smash to get the foe in VERY VERY VERY low hp.switch out with high level and use Status effect moves

Then use ultra balls until u catch (hint:hold b when poke ball hits foes head then u get 80 percent more lucky when u catch mew or any other Pokemon.Hope i helped.
You can only get him through a Pokemon event.

you can't find a mew in soulsilver (without cheating at least). you obtain it from a girl in wii's Pokemon ranch, then you put it in your Pokemon pearl or diamond version. then you trade it into soulsilver.(or heartgold)

Here are all the ways to get Mew:

1. The Nintendo event in October. They were giving out Mews.

2. Transfer it to the Pal Park from GBA Pokemon games that have it.

3. Use an Action Replay code. (Sorry, I don't have it!)

4. Trade with another trainer, GTS (Global Trade Station) or Union Room trade.

Those are the only ways I know of to get Mew. Sorry if it didn't help you.

Well u can get mewtwo by going to cerulean cave. ( u gotta have max repels, flash, rock smash, surf and pokeballs etc.) its lvl 70 and hard 2 catch

You could get Mew by using the DS or the DSi Action Replay. If you want Mewtwo, you go on Cerulean Cave and have A LOT of ultra balls or Action Replay, Master Balls.
