∙ 13y agoBram Stokers book doesn't tell us any information on how dracula came to be or his past but in one of the many Dracula films, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, Dracula went to war, his wife heard rumour that he died in battle and commited suicide. When Dracula returned and found his wife dead he renounced God and said "God lord be praised I am victorious. Is this my reward... I renounce! Renounce God! I shall rise from the grave to avenge her death, Blood i the life and it shall be mine..." Whilst stabbing the cross with his sword and blood comes pouring out. He then drinks the blood and turns into a vampire. However none of that happens in the book. Hope this helps.
