If you are staying at a Disney resort and have a car is parking free at the theme parks lots?

If you have your resort ID you can park in the theme park lots free but there is no need. Disney transportation runs every 20 minutes or more from the resorts to the parks and you will be closer to the gate than you could possibly get by driving. Also, if you are not used to the traffic you can be in a dangerous situation.
