In Pokemon fire red how can you continue your game when you finished league and see game credits but when credits finished the game start all over so you do not continue game?

Then after beating the game Professor juniper's dad upgrades your pokedex and your able to continue on to black city! not entiraly true you dont have to get through the pokemon league to get to black city (at least i didnt) :/ you just need junipers dad to upgrade the pokedex :3

When you beat the league and champion oak will take you to the hall of fame after your Pokemon are inducted the game will save itself turn off the game when the credits start then reopen your file you will appear in pallet town with your current progress still intact.
