Yes she is a Christian. She is a Mormon Christian. A Mormon Church is also called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There are different kinds of churches, but one Christianity. Here are a list of different churches I know:

Spiritual

Eastern Orthodox

So it doesn't matter what type of church you go to, you still are a Christian (i.e., if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior.). Some people call themselves Christians because they go to church. You are not truly Christian if you didn't ask Jesus into your heart. The ABC's of salvation are: Admit that you are a sinner, Believe that He has died on the cross for your sins, and Confess your sins to Jesus and ask Him into your heart as your personal savior.

NO. Sadly, a Morman is NOT a real Christian. There are fundamental differences. Mormanism is a cult and Mormans do not read the same Bible as True Christian believers. There are numerous other differences which boil down to real faith in Jesus Christ vs. 'DO IT YOURSELF' 'become a god in your own right by hard work. Jesus gave Himself for each one of us on the cross to make a relationship with God his Father possible as a free gift of grace and repentance - NOT hard work of being good, etc. etc. etc!
