Is Arceus really the most powerful Pokemon?

No it is not. Arceus is the first, the original pokemon. Like a pokemon Jesus, Theres Jesus, and then theres God. God is the father of Jesus, therefore, Arceus is the first pokemon, Another pokemon to later be announced created arceus and all of the other pokemon out there.

Look in the pokedex of your current pokemon game(s). It only says that Arceus created the world, as in the planet, not its creatures. There is no entry of Arceus saying it created all living and breathing pokemon. Or that it has infinite strength.

Even the pokemon producers have never said Arceus is the God. Theres another stronger pokemon out there, just waiting to be revealed....

Arceus is known as "The Original One," as it is said that it created the Pokémon universe and the lake guardians and the dragon trio.

Its Pokédex entries read:

"It is said to have emerged from an egg in a place where there was nothing, then shaped the world." (Platinum)

"It is described in mythology as the Pokémon that shaped the universe with its 1,000 arms. " (Diamond)

"It is told in mythology that this Pokémon was born before the universe even existed. " (Pearl)

With all this in mind, it's pretty much up to anyone in their minds whether they believe he's the god of all Pokemon or not. The key words "It is said" or "It is described in mythology." It is never confirmed by the creators of Pokemon that it is the God of all Pokemon. He could be, but here is where the arguements of the god begin. Some believe that Mew is the god because he can learn every move, but if you have heartgold and a mew you know that mew cannot learn:Draco Meteor, Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, and Hydro Cannon. This is why Arceus is the god and it is all true!!!!!

It probably is because it created the world (as in Pokemon not real life). It also can only be captured through special events getting a something Flute. Although some people people don't think so, I believe so in the matter.

Well, it's certainly one of the most sought-after legendaries out there, but the best? That's a matter of opinion. Arceus can learn almost every TM/HM move, it has the ability "Multitype", which allows it to change types depending on the held plate, and it starts at a high level. I think Arceus is definitely among the best, but my personal favorite is Lucario.

Yeah did you see Arceus and the Jewel of life if you did then you know if he's a god or not but people also mistake the god as mew but what's special about mew is that apparently he can learn every move except at the move tutor house in blackthorn city [heartgold-soulsilver] that's why he isn't a god. The poke'dex data for Arceus in heartgold says:According to the legends of Sinnoh this Pokemon emerged from an egg and shaped all there is today. That means if Arceus shaped everything he is a god OK!!!!!

yes, its in diamond and pearl, not so sure about platinum. if u hav an action replay thingy, u can enter a code to get the azure flute. if u don't have the ar, u can receive it in a Pokemon event, but tht already ended, so ur best chance is to find the code. u can get the ar device at a nearby Wal-Mart. i wood give u the code, but i don't kno it. once u have the flute, u can go back to the spot where u caught dialga/palkia. the flute shood automatically start playin, which will unlock a secret set of stairs. go up them, and he's there, waiting for u. Yes arceus is out in Japan. There is level X and every other kind like grass water and fire. It is also on Diamond, Pearl and Platinum versions. It is the Alpha(god) of pokemon.
