they did not show in the movie what happend to barricade but in the comics he was "killed" by optumis prime BUT he was repared and still was on earth when starscream went back to cybertron with a new goal for barricade to look for answers of sam. i know he will come back in the next movie, Transformers THR GHOST OF YESTERDAY. AND HOW DO I KNOW ON THE BOX OF THE TRANSFORMERS REVENGE OF THE FALLEN BARRICADE TOY IT SAID WHAT HAPPEND TO HIM AFTER MISSION CITY

Barricade Was Last Seen As His Police Car Form, Driving On The Bridge Just Before Optimus Prime Fights Bonecrusher. In the comics optimus prime throws barricade into a pillar and therefore barricade dies, but comes back when starscream flies back to cybertron.

In the film, Barricades death is not seen but there were rumors that he was going to appear in transformers 2 but did not.

What I think is that he died in Transformers 3 from Optimus' rage. Barricade was stabbed by Optimus and thrown on the ground. Took me a while but I found it. :)
