  • Corey Haim was indeed a good-looking young man, and became a heartthrob for teenage girls all over the world in the 1980s. After films such as 'Lucas' and 'License to Drive', Haim was on top for a while until he became hooked on cocaine and eventually prescription drugs (he first smoked a joint at fifteen while making the vampire movie 'The Lost Boys'). He became a liability on set, and the studios could not trust him to be clean. Corey lost his career by twenty. Later, the TV series 'The Two Coreys' aired for two seasons. It showed Haim's best friend, fellow actor Corey Feldman and his wife trying to help him get over his addiction, but after realizing he was enabling him more than helping him, Feldman pledged not to work with Haim again until he got clean. Thankfully Haim gave it his best shot and went on to make films such as 'Crank 2: High Voltage' and 'American Sunset', but sadly died of pneumonia before he was able to make a true comeback.
