I've had the same question. It doesn't appear so, with the way he uses and plays around with the concepts in his books. they are more from an observant's point of view... creating a kingdom with its own world.. life and death, the seven deadly sins (i've only read a few). Perhaps he was once or hhe just simply read the books.
But i could be completely wrong. please update this when someone finds out!
