According to legend, yes it was. The cloak was supposedly given to the third Peverell brother, Ignotus, by Death himself. As the Peverell's lived in medieval times there is no way of confirming or denying the story.

Antioch had the Elder Wand, Cadmus the Resurrection Stone and Ignotus the Invisibility Cloak. It was Ignotus Peverell who was the distant ancestor to Harry Potter whilst Voldemort's distant ancestor was Cadmus Peverell who also had Salazar Slytherin as a descendant.
