This question really depends on if Harry Potter is your style. Those who like magical stories full of adventure will like it. There are many thousands of people who think these books are amazing and loads more who have never read them and say they are rubbish and those who have read them and say they are rubbish. It is really a matter of what you think.
It is fun to read, in any case - at least, if you like fantasy stories.
