Although Grindelwald wasn't a nice person and killed lots of people, his original cause wasn't to completely eradicate muggles - he wanted the wizarding world to come out of hiding and rank hire than the muggles whereas Voldemort wanted to kill and enslave them (as well as muggle-borns and blood traitors).
Voldemort's war also lasted longer. Grindelwald's would have ended much sooner if Dumbledore had decided to fight him earlier but because he loved him, Dumbledore put off the fight until the death toll became too much to ignore.

Does anyone have an interpritation of this quote by Lord Voldemort There is no good and evil There is only power and those too weak to seek it?
My interpretation is that Lord Voldemort didn't care a bit about good and evil - his acts show this - and was only interested in getting power - and that he despised those that were not as interested in seeking power as he was (or not as good at it), thinking of them as "too weak".
