In my drama/dance school we performed Mamma Mia! last year. It was a huge success and sold over 2,500 tickets. I auditioned for the part of Donna and got it which was a huge thrill to play as I am a big fan of Meryl Streep and the film itself so it was a real honour to play it.
Benny Andersson & Bjorn Ulvaeus wrote all but one of Abba's released songs. (The only exception was a medley of American folk songs on the band's third album.) Band manager Stig Anderson was also credited on some of the band's early tracks; his English language writing skills were superior to Bjorn's in the early years. American pop legend Neil Sedaka also received a credit on one of the band's early hits, Ring Ring. He also helped with the English lyrics. //I believe that ABBA's Eurovision winning song Waterloo was co-written with Stig Anderson, Stig supplied the lyrics to Benny and Bjorn's music.//
Quality never goes out of style.
