Is Sophie related to Jolie in keeper of the lost cities?

Sophie Foster briefly believes that Jolie Ruewen may be her biological mother, as Jolie was once involved with the Black Swan before she died, and they looked quite alike. However, Mr. Forkle reassured her near the end of the book Exile that Jolie was not her mother. This relieved Sophie because she thought that if Jolie were her mother, her adoptive parents Edaline and Grady (who were Jolie‘s real parents) would only love her because she was related to Jolie. So, if Jolie were alive, Sophie would only be related to her through adoption as Jolie‘s adoptive younger sister.

PS It was later discovered that Sophie’s real biological mother was Councillor Oralie, though her father is still unknown.

Sophie is not related to Jolie by blood, but because Grady and Edaline adopted Sophie, Sophie and Jolie would be adoptive sisters.
