It seems fairly clear that the source material for Wrath of the Titans was Rick Riordan and not classical Greek Mythology. Three friends traveling through a labyrinth lead by an insane God; the excessive use of Geryon in fight sequences; and a plot that revolves around Chronus rising out of Tarturus were taken straight from Percy Jackson.
