There are a lot of excellent Vacuums out there, I have used a Kirby in the past and liked it, but I purchased a Simplicity ( Ricar ) commercial model 20 years ago and it still works better than any other I have used. The Kirby ( or at least the one I used ) are very versatile with all the add on attachments and have great suction. You should go to a Vacuum store and compare the models side by side to see which one you like the best.
You can buy it used on the internet for about $10.

Yes Kirby is worth the price. It will last forever and will outperform any sweeper out there. However you don't have to spent a fortune to enjoy one. I got mine on line at http://www.goodvac.com for less than $600.00. Never used unit. I love it. Great site, great prices on supplies and parts too. They even give you warranties and provide service if you need any.
It is $19.99 :) its true.
Snap many and good pictures and post it on e-bay or Craigslist. Listing in local papers usually will give you better price but it may take a very long time to sell it. The best would be just to keep it. It is GREAT vacuum and selling it for 50-150 dollars is not worth it. Kirby dealers tend to drop the price pretty low on new units so selling used Kirby will bring you very little money
After a fair negotiation $1100-1200.

These Kirby commercial vacuum cleaners are a great investment. This is one of the best ways to find out more about these vacuums.
No. In addition to the fact that many Kirby purchases are scams, the vacuum itself doesn't really work better than average.

Katie price is a glamour model and is worth about 30million pounds...
There was no Shadow Kirby in Kirby 64. The Shadow Kirby appearances are: Kirby and The Amazing Mirror: Shadow Kirby was an enemy. Kirby Squeak Squad: Kirby could spray-paint himself to look like Shadow Kirby.
Baseball card values can vary greatly depending on the condition of the card. However, it seems that the Kirby Puckett World Series Hero card made by Upper Deck in 2002 is worth $1-$3.
Oh, dude, you're asking about a vintage vacuum cleaner now? Like, who even knows the exact value of a Kirby from 1981? It could be worth a couple of hundred bucks to the right collector, but honestly, I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Just use it to clean up those dust bunnies and call it a day.
