Is the revised editon of The Hobbit different then the old one?

There is a difference between the versions, mostly centered around the chapter Riddles in the Dark and what happened. The original version was what Bilbo told the rest of the group. The 'new' version was what actually happened. For the most part the story is enough the same that people who had read different versions would talk about it and may never realize they read different versions.
