Is the story from Max Ciampoli-Jardiniere aka Max Ciampoli-Hardoniere about churchill true?
The story is about Max's heroism more than a story about Churchill. It is based on Max's recollection of his events during the war. I have personally met Max recently as his book is about to be published and I was able to speak with him for about 20 minutes one-on-one.
Max is my father.. I last spoke with him 6 years ago in Reno. At that time he had married Linda whom also takes credit for the book. He has 3 sons in Mo. and at least 1 in New york area that i know of. I had heard some war stories but NEVER anything about Churchill. I saw him in California in 1985 then married to another Linda whom he divorced because she let my mother know he had an heart attack. He soon after stopped all contact again. The man is very paranoid about his siblings for some reason. While in Reno I introduced him to his grand daughter who did not know what to make of someone who abandon his family and my younger brother also named Max. He was 15 at the time. Is the story true ? I can only say he had know idea who I was nor my brothers names. I do have pictures with myself and daughter with him. Maybe someone ( Linda ) helped with details. I still call to wish him Fathers day but he only takes messages. Maybe now he will get in touch. Thanks, Ted Ciampoli
