Black Cat, the shonen manga by Kentaro Yabuki, originally featured in Shonen Jump, was adapted into a 24-episode series by Shin Itagaki (Gonzo studios).
The story revolves around:
Train Heartnet
Saya Minatsuki
Creed Diskence
Sven Volfied
Eve
Rinslet Walker
~ Small Spoiler: A quick introduction ~
Train Heartnet is known as the Black Cat for his quick reactions to attacks and his title as Number Thirteen as member of the secret society Chronos. He is an unbeatable master gunman, a cold and unfeeling killer until he meets Saya, a bounty hunter, or "sweeper". She teaches him the value of a human life, and that one should live in order to repent for one's mistakes rather than die because of them. Through her, Train learns to love and care for other people as he too becomes a sweeper and travels with his partner Sven and the mysterious girl Eve.
~ Spoiler: a longer synopsis of Anime events ~
The anime basically follows the manga's original plot line, focusing mostly on Chronos; an organization bent on world peace, rules one third of the world's economy.
To maintain the balance of the world, Chronos is therefore essential and in need of protection.
There are thirteen special elite assassins, the Chrono Numbers, each possessing unique orichalcum-forged weapons.
When the thirteenth Chronos Number (Train Heartnet), also known as the infamous Black Cat, meets a Sweeper (licensed bounty hunter) named Saya Minatsuki, Train's morals and values are changed from those of Chronos's to those of his own.
Instead of killing his victims like he is ordered to, he merely uses Hades (his orihilcon gun) to stop them instead. This leads to tension between him and the Chronos Elders (the leaders of Chronos)
Which eventually leads to Train's departure from the organization.
Creed Diskenth, a Chronos assassin, resents the way that Saya changed Train's life, and murders her.
Six months later, Train is an easygoing Sweeper, traveling with his partners Sven Vollfied and Eve, when Creed appears before Train once more.
Creed, whom Train believed dead, now holds awesome power, using ancient spells of Tao, something Chronos believed no longer existed after the War 20 years earlier.
Creed, now with followers and power that rivals anyone alive, including the numbers, vows to get Train to join him. Train must choose his friends and a new life, or revenge, as Creed threatens to undermine Chronos and start his own World Revolution.
Pretty bog basic revolutionary anime.
there's none. unfortunately, it stops where Train suddenly disappears after the fight with Creed.
------------
Though it is true that there isn't a sequel, Train doesn't disappear after the fight with Creed, it is after the main battle with Eden and the Zero Numbers to save Eve that He disappears.
Creed, a changed man, by that point is helping Train so that he and Sven may get past Mason to make it to Eve in time.
P.S. <(-^/=\^-)> i really wanted a sequel too <(-V\=/V-)>'
Not that I know of, but it is an indirect sequel to "Whispers of the Heart". The baron was merely a small figurine in an antique shop in that movie, but he proved to be so popular they decided to make a movie about him. If you haven't already, you should watch "Whispers of the Heart". Hope that helped :)
Hmmm, that's a good question. There are no plans for a season two and considering it's been a while since season one has been out, then i'm thinking there probably never will be. But I love Black Cat and I do hope there's a second season someday.
Hope this helped :)
I don't think so, although the author of the manga stated that he would like to continue the story.
no.
He was Ryoma Echizen in "Prince of Tennis" :D
If you're talking about the anime 'Darker than Black', then yes, it is very, very good and I recommend it to anyone who has a love for intense fights, mystery and assassins in a world of lies and secrecy.
First you need to make sure that the anime "Black Blood Brothers" is not licensed in the US yet. Then hop on over to www.Google.com and type in "Black Blood Brothers .torrent" and look for the various hard-subbed / English subtitled fan subs out there.
