I don't know about Wes Harrison, but over the past 50 years I have heard Skip Wagner, an entertainer in Three Lakes, WI, perform many renditions of a very popular routine called "The Duck Hunter's Story" which is told in what is called "Alfalfa language." This is a variant of Pig Latin in which the syllable "alf" is inserted after the first letter of most words. You can hear an amateur, at-home telling of the story on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nda8sprr69E.
Wes Harrison has: Played himself in "Toast of the Town" in 1948. Played himself in "Tonight Starring Jack Paar" in 1957. Played himself in "The Roger Miller Show" in 1966. Played himself in "The David Frost Show" in 1969. Played himself in "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" in 1992.
