Mist 100% through-and-through. She was Ash's first friend in the Pokemon series, and in the episode where she left, she and Ash had a very tearful, heart-warming goodbye where she sang a beautiful song about her travels with Ash and being really sad because she doesn't think she'll ever see him again. Afterwards, as she's riding home on her bike, she says, "Well Ash Ketchum, I finally know how you feel about me!" and is all happy and smiley. There is also the song on the Pokemon Christmas Bash CD where Ash and Misty are singing a song about being caught under the mistletoe and how Misty was hoping she'd meet her true love under the mistletoe. And of course there is the song from the Pokemon 2BA Master CD which has Misty's Song in which she literally says to Ash (while he's sleeping because she can't work up the courage to tell him while he's awake) that she loves him. I just love that song because it expresses how Mist has felt, feels, and always will feel for Ash Ketchum, her true love. I won't go on about how in one episode (the Heartbreak of Brock) Misty actually said that she and Ash will get married one day (so true!!) and she kind of freaks out because she realized that she had said that out loud right next to him (Ash was kind of freaked out too because, you know, if your best friend said you'd be married one day that'd catch you off guard a little). Anyway, Mist♥Ash forever. Long live Pokemon classics!
