On Pokemon sapphire it used to work but whenever you save the file gets deleted why does it do that?

Either A try to fix it by using a q tip or B try using the berry program, in emerald, firered and leafgreen if you press B right start you can go to a berry program hook up a GBA cable to both emerald/frlg then follow the instructions once your done your file will get recovered.

∙ 12y agoI believe it has something to do with the internal clock battery in the game it dies after so many years and wont keep a save file this happened to me on my Pokemon gold version when i started a game it said game can still be played but time based events will not occur but when you shut it off it deletes itself after a minute goes buy this happened to 2 of my Pokemon games

I have gotten pokerus in sapphire as well but to cure it this may sound weird but it worked for me, if you train the Pokemon affected by pokerus then somehow your game must freeze up and when you reopen your file pokefus is gone! This worked for me and may not work for you.

you have to do something on the mainmenu and then it will be deleted but it takes a while for it to delete the previous save file

Some Pokemon games are bootlegged and fake: if it says before the the blue screen menu the saved file is ok or the saved file has been deleted, the game is an illegal copy. Nothing you can do about it.

yer thats happened to me alot wenevr i play mi pokemon games, but either i leave it alone or play a while into the game and then save it probly the 1st gym battle then save it, but dont turn it off wen it ses dont turn off. thanks
