The point of chaining Pokemon is to get a rare, shiny Pokemon. Not many come out in the wild. This is because every time you walk turn your game or even flip a coin or anything in game a random code is generated. This code determines whether you will encounter a shiny Pokemon or not. I usually chain Pokemon even thought it takes forcer, because it gives me a feeling. A feeling of accomplishment. Like I did something that took me some effort. That is the reason. Thank you. :)
Chaining Pokemon means seeing a Pokemon over and over with the pokeradar. you will know if your chaining if you use the pokeradar appliance in the poketch. if more questions about chaining go to youtube and type in your question!! pokemaster5
To get a shiny Pokemon in diamond you either have to use chaining with your poke radar or you can just be very lucky and just be walking in a patch of grass and stumble across one. I have a shiny zubat that is green and a shiny golduck.
Easy. First you have to defeat the elite four in the Pokemon league, and have the national pokedex. once you have done all these you will have to go past Route 219, 220 and 221, this will lead you to a building called Pal Park. enter this building and Prof. Oak will talk to you. he will then give you the Chaining app.

Walk through the grass. it's a one in 8000 something chance, but my sister randomly encountered a shiny weepinbell. It's a lot harder than chaining, unless you have Action Reply or something.
No, but you must get to a certain point in Pokemon Diamond to transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Ruby.
