In the dungeon with the Shaymin Village at its peak, one will automatically ask to be recruited on your second visit. No battles or constant returning to hope that it will ask, just automatic! Yay =D

These are the steps how to make Shaymin your friend:

1. Defeat Dialga

2. Go on some jobs

3. Have a meeting at Spinda's juice bar about where the Shaymin are

4. Travel with your partner and Shaymin to the peak of the mountain

5. Then you got to face 3 Muk and 4 or 5 Grimer

6. When you do that Shaymin changes forme and gives you a Sky Jukebox where you could listen to all of the songs (YOU FIND THE SKY JUKEBOX IN THE MAIN MENU, OTHERS.)

7. Travel with your partner to the peak of the mountain again and that's where Shaymin becomes your friend. (TO MAKE HIM CHANGE TO SKY FORM ONE OF THE SHAYMIN HANDS OUT A GRACIDEA FLOWER THEN GO INTO A DUNGEON AND USE THE FLOWER ON SHAYMIN HE TURNS INTO SKY FORM WHICH MEANS 2X THE SPEED.)

As far as I know its the same as in explorers of time/darkness - with mystery part or secret slab, go to either floor 3 of miracle sea, floor 2 of lower crevice cave, floor 17 of mt travail, floor 14 of spacial rift or floor 13 of mystifying forest. You'll need either the amber tear or golden mask with you to have any chance, and you'll need a really high level Pokemon as well. Good luck!
