You might mean the book and movie, "I Know My First Name is Steven" (or, The Missing Years).

Steven Stayner was abducted at the age of 7 years. Ervin Edward Murphy, an acquaintance of Kenneth Parnell, was used by Parnell to grab Steven. Parnell then kept Steven and molested him. At age 14 years (in 1980), Parnell took another boy, Timothy White. Steven Stainer knew he had to prevent Parnell from hurting Timothy, so Steven took Timothy to a police station. There, the police thought Steven had taken the boy. Only after questioning did Steven reveal that Parnell had taken him years before; at that point, he could only remember, "I know my name is Steven". Timothy was reunited with his family, and after checking the older boy's story, Steven was reunited with his parents, too.

But the abuse had changed Steven. It was difficult for him to fit back into his family. He felt estranged from his 3 sisters and older brother, Cary. Cary, on the other hand, had felt blamed by his parents for not watching over Steven better. Steven's father was depicted in the movie as blaming Steven for his own molestation. As well, Steven had no rules when living with his abuser. Parnell allowed him to drink and smoke from early ages but the Stayners were Christian parents. Although all tried to heal from what happened to Steven and the whole family, Steven felt he never really fit in at his parents. Adding to the harm Steven suffered, Parnell was sentenced to less than 7 years-- less time than Steven had been kept by this abuser.

Steven struggled with his emotions and reportedly used alcohol and drugs to "numb" his turmoil. As an adult, he finally began a more normal life. He married and had 2 children. But in 1989, Steven had a motorcycle accident and died as a result of the head injuries he sustained. Timothy White, (ironically) then age 14, helped carry his rescuer/Steven's coffin into the church.

Other tragedy was to enter the Stayner family's life. Cary Stayner, Steven's older brother, had felt neglected after Steven was kidnapped and carried great guilt, and later resentment toward Steven. A year after Steven's death, the brothers uncle with whom Cary was living, was murdered. Cary was not a suspect in that murder. Cary tried to commit suicide at least once and was arrested on drug possession later. In 1997, Cary seemingly was getting his life together. He found a handyman job at a lodge near Yosemite National Park. Then, between February and July 1999, Cary killed 4 women -- 3 who were connected (mother, daughter and a travel companion). Again, he was not suspected until after the 4th victim was found. After being arrested on probable cause, evidence in his truck positively tied him to the murdered women. He confessed, was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death. He lives on death row at San Quentin. He admitted later that he had fantasized killing women since age 7; the court, though, found he was sane.

On the other hand, you may be referring to the Disney movie "The Voyage of the Navigator", in which a child is abducted by aliens to become their navigator, and who returns to Earth years later, unaged and unchanged. It was a cute but unimpressive fantasy.
