Walter Elias "Walt" Disney was born on Dec 5, 1901 to Elias Disney, an Irish Canadian and Flora Call Disney, a German American in Chicago. Walt Disney was known as a film producer who co-founded Walt Disney company was married to Lilian Bounds and died at the age of 65 in California.

Walt Disney's father, Elias moved from Ontario to the US in 1878 looking for gold. He was working for Union Railroad. The family later moved to Chicago and later they moved to a farm in Missouri when Walt was 4 years old. In 1911, tey moved to Kansas City where Walt met Walter Pfeiffer. After this meeting Walt was introduced to the world of Motion Pictures.

After Walt got into Cartoons, he saw his cartoons gaining lot of popularity in the Kansas City Area. Walt first acquired his own studio and later planned to set up another studio in Hollywood, California. His dream was realized and later he went on to produce several animations.

In the year 1932, Walt received his special academy award for his Cartoon Mickey Mouse.
