Therefore, to elicit the same level of action, it is necessary to increase dosage over time. As dosage increases, an individual may become physically dependent on narcotic drugs.
Drug addicts, drug sellers, and in some cases doctors and the people the prescribe drugs to.
may become physically or mentally dependent on the drug. Physical dependence may lead to withdrawal symptoms when the person stops taking the medicine. Building tolerance to these drugs is also possible
Legal drugs taken only as directed (not exceeded in dose) can cause drug dependency, which is different than being an addict. However, if the drug was stopped for a chemically dependent person/patient, they will experience withdrawal just like a drug addict would.A drug addict is a person who is dependent, physically, psychologically or both, on a chemical substance, whether legal or illegal. The most common legal drug is alcohol, followed by nicotine.*Addict, and someone who is addicted to drugs.
Taking drugs can impact you in a number of ways. It not only affects your family but it also affects you both mentally and physically.
it harms you because it poisons your body.. And it will jack you and your mind up
over dose of drug,dependent ,addict,
Depending on the drug, the dose used, and a number of other factors physical dependence may not occur at all although when it does occur it typically requires at least several weeks of continuious use for physical dependence to start to set in. Continuous use of opioids, corticosteroids, beta- blockers, and alcohol nearly always lead to physical dependence sooner or later. Other drugs like benzodiazepines, contrary to popular belief, actually only cause significant physical dependence in about 1/3 of long-term users (even as long as two or more years). However people that abuse benzodiazepines and similar drugs have a greater chance of becoming physically dependent. It should also be clear that physical dependence is not that same as addiction. Many drugs including corticosteroids are not drugs of abuse yet continuous use can cause physical dependence in a matter of days when taken in moderate to large doses. Addiction is psychological dependence however many addicts addicted to drugs that tend to cause physical dependence like opioids will also be physically dependent. However most people prescribed opioids for a legitimate needed for a protracted period do not become addicted but do become physically dependent.
Not sure exactly what you mean but maybe you mean a drug addict (someone who is dependent on drugs) who is in withdrawal (going without drugs in order to get clean).
This is a tough answer. The first thing to consider would be whether the drug are physically addictive or psychologically addictive. If they are only psychologically addictive, they will most commonly experience agitation and "fiending" (longing for the drugs). If it's physically addictive, the user may experience a wide range of things. Opiates are the most used physically addictive drugs, and many who quit cold turkey get cold sweats, fevers, body aches and other flu-like symptoms. It can actually be quite danergous to suddenly stop doing physically addictive drugs after heavy use.
Could you rephrase the question?
