Gilda Radner.
Gene has been married four times. The women's names are: Mary Mercer, Mary Joan Schutz, Gilda Radner, and Karen Webb. Gene's marriages to Mary and "Jo" (as he calls Mary Joan in his autobiography) ended in divorce, and as most people know, his marriage to Gilda ended when she died far too soon of ovarian cancer. As for Karen, as of December 2012, she and Gene have been happily married for just over 21 years!
Gene Wilder was born on June 11, 1933.
Gene Wilder. :) His BIRTH name, however, was Jerome (Jerry) Silberman.
No he was not.

Gilda was married twice. She wed G.E. Smith in 1980, then divorced him two years later to pursue her Hanky Pankyco-star, Gene Wilder (whom, according to her autobiography, she fell in love with pretty much instantly!). Having already been married and divorced twice by that point, Wilder was initially hesitant about jumping into another relationship. But Radner ultimately won his heart, and they married on September 18th, 1984. Sadly, they had less than five years together as husband and wife before ovarian cancer claimed Gilda's life on May 20th, 1989.
No, Gene Wilder never had the privilege of hosting SNL. His late wife, Gilda Radner, however was scheduled to host during the finale of the shows 13th season but was unable due to a writers strike. Gilda then died before another opportunity to host presented itself.
Gilda Radner was born June 28, 1948 in Detroit Michigan and attended the University of Michigan. She died of ovarian cancer in 1989 after a blossoming career on Saturday Night Live, several critically acclaimed Broadway performances, and a highly publicized marriage to actor Gene Wilder.
Richard Pryor, whom he starred in four movies with. He and his third wife, Gilda Radner, also colloborated frequently, starring in three movies together.
Pretty much retired from acting, he has turned his attention to writing (his latest book, Something to Remember You By: A Perilious Romance, is slated to be released on April 9th, 2013) and lives in Stamford, Connecticut with his wife, Karen.
She had two nephews by marriage (her husband Gene Wilder's sister's sons- one of whom is director, producer, and screenwriter Jordan Walker-Pearlman). As for biological ones, that's not publically known, to my knowledge (Gilda DID have one brother, Michael, but he seems to keep his life pretty private).
