to my knowledge you cant. some one has to trade you a hounter.

the hounter will immediately evolve into gengar.

you can just trade it between two of your own games, ifyou have access to two DSes

impossible. Catch a gastly in sprout tower at night.level it up to 25,then it will evolve into haunter ,then trade to another Pokemon game,it will evolve into gengar in that game and then trade that gengar to your game. Oh you have a gengar.

you can get a gengar, a haunter or a gasly at the Pokemon tower.

u cant catch a gengar u have to trade a haunter and it will evolve after u trade

you can't you need to catch a gastly then evolve it into a haunter and then trade it to get a gengar i think that is the only way

You'll need to trade for it or trade for Haunter to make it evolve into Gengar. Gengar cannot be caught in the wild.
