He currently has Pikachu, Monferno, Grotle, Staraptor, Gible and Buizel however for reserves who reside at Oak's he also has Sceptile, Donphan, Swellow, Corphish, Glalie, Torkoal, Bulbasaur, Bayleef, Cyndaquil, Totodile, a shiny Noctowl, Heracross, Kingler, Muk, 30 Tauros and other reserves he has are Charizard and Squirtle and Pokémon he once had were Gliscor, Aipom, Larvitar, Beedrill, Lapras, Pidgeot, Primeape, Haunter, Butterfree and Raticate.
Soon he will have a Pikachu, Infernape, Torterra, Staraptor, Gible, and Buizel. If you don't believe me about infernape go to YouTube and type in monferno evolve into infernape.

∙ 12y agoHe owned Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charizard, Muk, Tauros' (30 of them), and a Kingler. He had a Pidgeotto, but that evolved at the very end, and he released it, he also had a Butterfree but released it early in the story to breed.

∙ 7y agoHe caught first heracross then chickorita who evolved into bayleef then cyndaquill who reasently evolved into quilava then totodile then noctowl then beedrill ( which he gave to casey since she liked Pokemon with black and white stripes ) and finnaly larvitar who was unofficial just like haunter ; he returned it to its mother tyranitar.

∙ 9y agoAsh had Pokémon such as Pikachu, Caterpie/Metapod/Butterfree, Pidgeotto/Pidgeot, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard, Muk and Krabby/Kingler during his adventures throughout the Kanto region from his home to the Pokémon League on the Indigo Plateau and back home to Pallet Town after the League's conclusion.

∙ 14y agoIn Hoenn Ash had the following Pokémon with him: Pikachu, a Taillow which later evolves into a Swellow, a Treefcko which eventually fully evolves into a Sceptile, a Corphish, a Torkoal and a Snorunt which later evolves into a Glalie and he also brought back his Bulbasaur for 1 episode only.

∙ 10y agoThe Pokémon that Ash Ketchum winds up catching in the Kanto region are Pidgeotto, Caterpie, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Krabby, Muk and Primeape. Caterpie eventually evolves into Metapod and then Butterfree and it along with Pidgeotto after evolving Pidgeot are released. Charmander is released once it evolves into Charizard. Krabby evolves into Kingler.

∙ 10y agoThe Pokémon that Ash Ketchum catches while traveling in the Johto region would include Totodile, Cyndaquil, Chikorita, Heracross, Phanpy and a Shiny Noctowl. He also later received a Larvitar from a Pokémon Egg that was following him around until he could return it to its Mother, a Tyranitar.

What to do after you've completed Pokemon league on Pokemon Crystal?
you should be able to get an s.s. ticket to ride the ferry to the kanto region then from there you can collect the kanto badges to unlock mount silver where you can battle red/ash.
