Source: http://www.thaliatook.com/AMGG/benzaiten.html Benzaiten is the Japanese Goddess of Love, Beauty, Eloquence and Music, as well as a Sea-goddess. Her husband was a wicked dragon whom She reformed, and She is often shown riding one. Dragons and their smaller relatives snakes are sacred to Her and snakes are often Her messengers. She is said to prevent earthquakes and is worshipped on islands, especially the island of Enoshima. Benzaiten is originally of Hindu origin and is associated with Sarasvati, the Indian goddess of music and wisdom, and is sometimes shown with eight arms. Benzaiten is also linked to Kwannon or Kwan Yin, the sometimes female, sometimes male deity of compassion in Buddhism. Benzaiten is one of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune who sails on the Takara-bune, the Treasure Ship. Traditionally, a picture of the Takura-bune placed under the pillow on New Year's Eve will bring a lucky dream. Benzaiten brings luck and good fortune, persuasion and seduction. Alternate names: Benten, Benzai-tennyo.

Well I'm 13, and my these are the animes that I would suggest: CLANNAD: Okazaki Tomoya is a delinquent who finds life dull and believes he'll never amount to anything. Along with his friend Sunohara, he skips school and plans to waste his high school days away. One day while walking to school, Tomoya passes a young girl muttering quietly to herself. Without warning she exclaims "Anpan!" (a popular Japanese food) which catches Tomoya's attention. He soon discovers the girl's name is Furukawa Nagisa and that she exclaims things she likes in order to motivate herself. Nagisa claims they are now friends, but Tomoya walks away passing the encounter off as nothing. However, Tomoya finds he is noticing Nagisa more and more around school. Eventually he concedes and befriends her. Tomoya learns Nagisa has been held back a year due to a severe illness and that her dream is to revive the school's drama club. Claiming he has nothing better to do, he decides to help her achieve this goal along with the help of four other girls. As Tomoya spends more time with the girls, he learns more about them and their problems. As he attempts to help each girl overcome her respective obstacle, he begins to realise life isn't as dull as he once thought. CLANNAD is my FAVOURITE anime ever. It is a must watch :) If you watch the first season then you have to watch the second (CLANNAD ~After Story~) :) Genre: Drama/Fantasy/Romance. Kanon 2006: As a young child, Aizawa Yuuichi had often visited his cousin in the city. However, something drastic happened to keep him away for seven long years. Now, Yuuichi returns, his memories of those days are simply gone. Settling into the wintry town, Yuuichi comes across several young girls, all of whom are connected to his past. As he befriends them and continues to interact with them, the long forgotten memories from his childhood begin to resurface... Kanon is made by the same company as CLANNAD, however, you will want to be careful in case you watch Kanon 2002, which apparently has more story, but is older. I haven't seen Kanon 2002 though ;) Kanon has romance, and at the same time tragedy. Angel Beats!: It sucks being dead. Sucks even more to be trapped in a surreal afterlife where you're caught between the living and the dead-where a mysterious, violent Angel is trying to pull you over to...somewhere. What do you do? Well, if you're this group of rough-and-tumble teens, you grab every weapon you can get your hands on and give Heaven hell! High-caliber action and locked-and-loaded comedy meet on a rock and roll battleground in Angel Beats! There is also Angel Beats, (again made by Key) but that is violent as well as being romance. It's story is amazing, and so is the ending. And some parts are really sad :'( Another small list: School Rumble - heaps funny and cute (with romance) Air TV - Sad, but with romance Itazura na Kiss - one of the funniest animes i have ever seen, and the story is nice :) Shugo Chara! - amazing :) the theme of the anime is cute too :) Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu - another one of the funniest animes ever ;) Ouran High School Host Club - really funny with romance
