Tumor, Node, Metastases
"T" stands for "tumor" and reflects the size of the tumor.
"M" refers to the metastases, how far they are from the original cancer and how often they have multiplied.
The airport code for Teniente R. Marsh Airport is TNM.
The TNM classification system is designed to classify malignant tumors
The Clark scale looks at how deeply the melanoma has gone into the different layers of the skin The Breslow scale measures the thickness of the melanoma in the skin TNM staging of melanoma describes the thickness of the melanoma and whether there is any spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body Number stages of melanoma group together the depth of the melanoma and the TNM staging in a simpler way
"N" represents the spread of the cancer to lymph nodes, largely determined by those nodes removed at surgery that contain cancer cells.
There are a few standard methods of comparing one cancer to another for the purposes of comparing treatments and estimating outcomes. These methods are called "staging." The most universal method is the TNM system.
This happens in very rare occasions, because medically competent surgeons would know the difference between an operable and inoperable tumor. This can be done by using the scoring system that is used for Lung Cancer, TNM (Tumor, Nodes, Metastasis).
T1N2M0 is a classification used in cancer staging, specifically in the TNM system, which describes the extent of cancer spread. In this notation, "T1" indicates a small tumor that is localized to its original site, "N2" signifies that there are regional lymph nodes involved, and "M0" means that there is no distant metastasis. This staging helps in determining the prognosis and treatment options for the patient.
TNM Staging is used for solid tumors, and is an acronym for the words "Tumor", "Nodes", and "Metastases". Each of these criteria is separately listed and paired with a number to indicate the TNM stage. For example, a T1N2M0 cancer would be a cancer with a T1 tumor, N2 involvement of the lymph nodes, and no metastases (no spreading through the body). * Tumor (T) refers to the primary tumor and carries a number of 0 to 4. * N represents regional lymph node involvement and can also be ranked from 0 to 4. * Metastasis is represented by the letter M, and is 0 if no metastasis has occurred, or else 1 if metastases are present. Simply put it means you could have a tumor; nodes and Metastases (if your doctor has suggested) breast to other cancers and it means that it is in a good stage, but it should be attended too with the suspicion it could turn into cancer and spread.
