Near the beginning of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry and Ron flew Mr Weasley's Ford Anglia to school. Although they were let off with just a detention and a note home, Professor Dumbledore them that if they broke anymore rules he would have to expel them. So they are afraid of getting expelled from Hogwarts.
