I've been looking for a good answer to this question and the only good anime I found (that was appropriate for young people) was Hikaru no Go. I watch alot of anime, and most of it is not appropriate for kids. My top five animes for mature people over 12 would be Full Metal Alchemist and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Death Note, Fairy Tail, and Soul Eater. None of those are for six year olds. If your looking for anime movies for six year olds, try some of Hyao Miyazaki's movies, such as: Ponyo, Secret World of Arrietty, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Kiki's Delivery Service. Don't show Grave of the Fireflys to a six year old, though.

If you mean the anime with Ash then you can google it easily and find a site. If you mean the manga series, unfortunately there isn't actually an anime for it. Which is a real darn pity because the anime with Ash would have been amazing if it was based on Pokemon Adventures (if you don't know about the manga, check out Pokemon Adventures Special on otakuworks.com)
if you want to watch anime i wouldn't download there are some great site that let you watch anime for free like Animeseason.com or crunchyroll.com just to name a few i do know Fairy tale is on animeseason.com. if you do watch you'll have to read the subtitles.

There are some episodes that claim you can watch the first episode of Pokemon online. Watch Pokemon Episodes, Anime Freak, Anime Crazy are just a few. The show is also probably available for Netflix and Hulu Plus subscribers.
No, they do not hate television. They think that many things on TV are not appropriate, so they don't watch it. Instead, they watch a few movie occasionally.
There are alot of different sites you can use. I usually use anilinkz.com, but you can also try megavideo.com (you can only watch 72 minutes of anime on this site for free), veoh.com, animefreak.tv, sometimes you can even find some on youtube. There are alot more, these are just a few. If you can't find what you're looking for on the sites I mentioned, then you should just use a search engine like yahoo or google, and type in what anime you want to watch, like "watch ______ online free", and they usually pop up pretty quickly.
There are many places one can go to watch free movies online. A few are Yidio, Cartoon Network, ABC Family, Crackster, Viewster and the popular Anime Flavor.
I believe they watch Pokemon or anime things like that. !

There are quite a bit of animes that aren't kid appropriate, but it really depends on "what's appropriate." Most anime will show if it is 13+ or 18+, and that's usually not "kid appropriate." Below, there are a few websites that will share some kid appropriate animes lists.
