Yes a lot actually!
It depends on what you are into.
If you are a girl, there are a lot of shojo (or girl) manga's out there like: Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew, Card Captor Sakura, ect. The best are usually the ones that are very bright, colorful and have adorable small characters on the cover.
If you are a boy there are a lot of shonen (or boy) manga's like: Beyblade, Pokemon, One Piece, ect. The best are the action packed looking covers.
You could also look at the back of the book and it will give you a rating. Some say for teens some say for 18+. Also, viz has a few books where there is a label on the spine that says VIZ KIDS. Check that out :)
Hope this helps!
Any anime that is rated Y (Ok for all ages) Y7 (Ok for ages 7 and up) G (General audiences) and probably PG (Parental guidance suggested) if you are in middle school this should be fine. The next rating is called 14, for ages 14 and up, which should be fine for high school. However, this could vary from school to school. For example in my 11th grade class we watched a clip from an MA (mature audiences) show. It depends on a lot of things.
A list of some PG anime is available under "Related Link".
The censored version done by DiC and even Cloverway is more suitable for kids even though there are some violent scenes in a few of the episodes however the original unedited versions of the episodes are of much violent content and might not be suitable for kids due to the violent content as well as instances of characters of one sex being obviously romantically interested in one of the characters of the same sex as he or she is.
Chibi Maruko-chan. it teaches alot of lessons. :))

There is no such thing as an American anime.Anime is Japanese animation. There are cartoons that look like anime but aren't.In my opinion real anime is better than the American anime like cartoons. They may look like anime but they just don't have the same action, culture, emotion and comedy as real anime. Shows like Avatar,Totally Spies,Kappa Mikey are good for kids but its just not the same as japan's original work.
It depends on the Anime, some are very light-hearted and suitable for all ages. While others can be intense and have adult themes. Some Anime is adult-only such as Hentai, which is basically pornographic Anime.
In the manga and anime, she doesn't have any kids at that point.
back then, there wasn't many shows that kids like, scratch that, there weren't any good shows but many kids liked pokemon, but today there are so many good shows like spongebob, jessie, south park and more so kids rarely watch pokemon because of those shows but I still like pokemon and watch all the new episodes every saturday and always will
Japanese anime and American cartoons differ in many ways. The most noticeable one would be how they differ visually. Japanese anime style has more of a realistic look in characters, where as typically in American cartoons, many physical features are exaggerated. This is not true for all anime and cartoons. Many sci-fi anime's have a lot of creative exaggerations in the characters. Another good difference is that anime spends a lot of time with plot and character development. A typical American cartoon will have a story in one episode, whereas a anime will develop sometime complex character emotions (such as love triangles, drama, ect) over a period of 24 episodes (depending on the anime).
Well there's shugo chara! and k-on for kids. It's not little kids it's more like 8 to 15

Spongbob is only 10.1% retarded so iz Flapjack but there iznt even anime on nick cept avatar and kappa mikey ish so why chu gotta bring SB into this foo!?!? but they gotta find more room 4 naruto and no offence CN but stop airing TDI cuz we seen all the eps and were watching total drama action and no one watches L.O.S.E. breh! And they're kinda ruining the concept of "CARTOON" network wif the live action shows. ayee whoever reads this list things that CN should bring back! Wicked PWNAGE! Edit: the reason cartoon network is turning to retarded shows is probably because most anime's are too mature for little kids, and they got complaints from parents and so they show shows that are for retards or little kids. but i don't know hwy adult swim had to turn to stale trash like American dad. metalocolypse and robot chicken are good, but they shouldntve gotten rid of inuyasha and everything else. the only anime show that i know is on adult swim is Bleach. but if you want to watch anime, search for anime titles on Google, then go to youtube and search it. then why are showing TDA cuz they say "crap" (even if its not really a cuss word )and some others schtuff and parents probly don't want lil kids to see that?

No, Habbo is not good for kids under 13 because there is some offensive language in there.
