you cant unless you have a game boy game that you catch it on and then migrate it to platinum
No, because Ho-Oh is a pokémon from the second generation (Gold/Silver/Crystal).
It was a holiday camp catch phrase used bu the BBc in the UK and the host would shout Hi Di Hi, the guest responded with Ho de Ho.
I believe there are no Pocket Monsters going by the name of Ho-ho. If you are referring to the legendary Fire/Flying Ho-oh, it's right at the lava/volcano maps. It's pretty rare, so keep hunting!

Ho-Ho the legendary Pokémon appears in both games: Pokémon Heart Gold: Ho-Ho is the legendary you can catch in the game. Pokémon Soul Silver: You can catch Ho-Ho after you get the Rainbow Wing from the man in Creaulean City. Then you go to the bell tower and at the top the Kimono Girls will dance like they did for Lugia and then you battle HO-HO and catch it. The Ho-Ho will be lvl 70. (sorry if its not in creaulean City) and sorry if its wrong.

No but if you saved your game before trying to capture it turn off the game and it will still be there.
Ho-Oh? What are you talking about? There is no Trainer with Ho-Oh. You'd need to get it from another game or with the Action Replay.
Use HeartGold or SoulSilver. You can catch both in one game.

Being traded a Shiny Ho-Oh from the GTS in Diamond can corrupt your game provided the Ho-Oh was a badly done hack but as long as it was a good hack, the Ho-Oh will not cause any damage to your game or your save file.
