i have 753 cards and from my collection there are 7.
At the most basic level theres three, traps, magic/spells and monsters
Traps and magic/spells can be further split into normal (e.g. Polymerisation (M/S), trap hole (T) or or continuous (e.g. Poison Chain (M/S), Bottomless Shifting sands (T), magic/spells can also be split into field (e.g. Yami), ritual (e.g. Black luster ritual), equip (e.g. Sord of Dark destruction) and quck play (Diffusion), whilst traps can also be counter traps (Magic Jammer)
Monsters can be split into normal (e.g. Blue Eyes White dragon), Effect (e.g. Speed Warrior), Ritual (e.g. Black Luster Soldier), Fusion (e.g. Flame Swordsman) each being one of six attributes, water (e.g E-hero Bubbleman), wind (e.g. E-hero Avian), earth (E-hero Wildheart), fire (e.g. E-hero Burstinatrix), dark (e.g. E-hero Necroshade) and light (e.g. E-hero Neos)
Monsters can be further separated into one of 19 catergories - warrior, fish, pyro beast, beast-warrior, spellcaster, dragon, machine, psychic, dinosaur, fiend, winged beast, fairy, zombie, reptile, insect, plant and sea serpent (don't quote me on that, they're all the one I know...)
With the introduction of Master rules there are also now, Tuner and Synchro monsters (e.g Tune Warrior (T) Colossal fighter (S)), Some synchro monsters require specific tuners to be summoned (e.g Junk synchron must be used as the tuner to sumon Junk wariror)

The different types of finishes available for decks include stains, sealers, paints, and oils. Stains enhance the natural look of the wood, sealers provide protection against moisture and UV rays, paints offer a variety of colors and styles, and oils penetrate the wood to nourish and protect it.
