The Stevens 16-gauge pump shotgun, also known as the Stevens Model 770, was produced from the late 1930s until the early 1960s. Depending on the specific year of manufacture, the age of a Stevens Model 770 can range from approximately 60 to 85 years old as of 2023. The exact age would depend on the serial number and production year of the individual firearm.
It was probably made in 1929 or 1930 -- production started in 1929 and ended sometime later in the 1940s, I believe. Tens of thousands of Model 94s were produced by Stevens and I'm not sure if the different gauges had overlapping S/N ranges -- my guess is that yours would have been one of those manufactured in the first year or two.
