If you're talking about every single generation (1-4) then they are as follows, separated by the generation they first appeared in:

1st Gen: Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew

2nd Gen: Suicune, Entei, Raikou, Ho-oh, Lugia, Celebi

3rd Gen: Kyogre, Groudon, Latias, Latios, Jirachi, Deoxys, Rayquaza

4th Gen: Spiritomb*, Mesprit, Uxie, Azelf, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Arceus, Shaymin, Cresselia**

* = This can be considered a legendary Pokemon from the way it is obtained, but more than one exists, so this may not be the case.

** = I myself am not entirely sure if Cresselia appeared first in the 3rd Gen or the 4th Gen, although to the best of my knowledge it is the 4th Gen.

In the Kanto Region (Pokemon Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Fire Red and Leaf Green) the Legendaries are Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo and Mew.

In the Johto Region (Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold and SoulSilver) the Legendaries are Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Ho-Oh, Lugia and Celebi.

In the Hoenn Region (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire) the Legendaries are Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi and Deoxys.
