Yes! The Harry Potter books are wonderful for pre-teens ages 10 and up, but may be a little dark for younger ages. J.K. Rowling does an amazing job when writing the Harry Potter books. There are 7 Harry Potter Books in the series: Year One: Harry Potter and the Philospher's Stone (or the Socerer's Stone) Year Two: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Year Three: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Year Four: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Year Five: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phonix Year Six: Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince Year Seven: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows All of the books are good, and so are the Harry Potter movies! But remember, always read the book first because the movies don't go into much detail as the books do!
Harry Potter attended potions lessons in the first six books in the series. During his first five years at Hogwarts, the class was taught by Professor Snape who loathed Harry and made his life extremely difficult.

It is called Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and was published on 16th July 2005.
The plot of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is thought to be open as J.K. Rowling was planning on continuing her books to be a series.
There are six prefects in each house, two for each year.
If you are talking about the six of them they are called Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, Ginny Weasley, Luna Lovegood and of course Harry Potter himself!
Sadly no Jk Rowling did not intend more than the 7 in the series although there are more side books in the collection such as fantastic beasts and where to find them, Quittage throught the ages and the tales of beetle the bard.
June 2009
So far there are only six Harry Potter movies but there will be two more coming. There was only supposed to be seven movies to go with the seven books, but the last book is too long to be made into a movie. Therefore the last movie will be split into two movies "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2". So the answer for your question is only six but more coming!!!
Harry Potter attended potions lessons in the first six books in the series. During his first five years at Hogwarts, the class was taught by Professor Snape who loathed Harry and made his life extremely difficult.
There are only seven books, these are: -Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (HP1) -Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (HP2) -Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (HP3) -Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (HP4) -Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (HP5) -Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (HP6) -Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (HP7) Each of the first six books only have one film to them. However, the seven book (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has two films to it, which split the book in half (approximately). There is too much in the last book to keep the quality and include everything in only one film. The ages are 0, because there is no eighth book. There are eight films. Hope this helped. :)
Sixteen.
