In Pokémon HeartGold, in order to delete progress in your game you will need to hold down the buttons of select, B and the up button on the D-Pad while you are on the title screen meaning the screen that shows Ho-Oh itself however this will entirely delete your save data meaning you will not have any caught Pokémon and any event Pokémon that you have acquired along with the related event Pokémon Wonder Cards will be lost.
