The story of Issac's life is full of many things that we can learn from. His birth, his marriage, his faith, and other events in his life for example, when Abraham was commanded to sacrifice Issac, these have so many things that we can learn from them.
His birth clearly shows us that God will always keep his promises no matter what. For God promised to Abraham that he and Sarah would surely have a son. This event also exemplifies the fact that nothing is impossible with God.
The time when Abraham was commanded to kill Issac has been explored very deeply be many biblical theologians and I can only scratch the the surface of the significance of this event. I do no that this even has shown many people that God will test us in strange ways, that God always has a plan and will never hold back his plan, and that most of all God provides.
When Abraham sent his servant to the land of his forefathers and told him to go and find a wife for his son Issac I think that the mane significance of this is fairly clear. Look at how soon Abraham's Servant's prayer was answered. Isn't is odd that she would leave her family never to see them again just so that she could marry a man she had never met? Surely the Lords Hand was guiding all of this.
These are only a few things off of the top of my head. Issac's life is so full of morals as is the rest of The Bible (as well as every boddies life in the present) so keep digging, you never know what you will uncover!
its a true story and also to know how sad they were back then

Wow, that's a big one. I've actually learned a bunch of different things. * From the story of Adam and Eve, you learn to obey God, because the consequnces may be rough. * From the story of Abraham, you learn to trust God, because he has a plan that will always work. * From the story of Jacob and Esau, you learn to not decieve others, because it will come back to you. * From the story of Joeseph you learn, once again, to trust in God, because God knows more than anyone and that will never change.
Jacob starts telling the story in his prospective at page 138. Hope this helps you.
