Yes, this is actually the cause of a pretty serious row between Ron and Hermione.
That is somewhat right. Ron decides to date lavender only to make Hermione jealous and to prove he can "snog" anyone and anytime he likes. But his main plot was to make Hermione jealous, which it does.

Running at Ron she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron through away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that he lifted Hermione of her feet.
Yes, twice they start going out at the end of Deathly Hallows. There's also a prologue which features them 19 years later after Voldemort dies. It shows that Harry and Ginny get married and Ron and Hermione get married and their kids going to Hogwarts.

∙ 12y agoThis is an absurd question. If you are that curious to know the chemistry between the two characters, then consider reading the books. But keep in mind that they have the same last name, meaning they are related. So kissing would not be appropriate and it is definitely something they do not do.
