He attended Kickapoo High School in Springfield where he was a member of the golf, swimming, tennis and wrestling teams; and participated in the school's Key and Forensics clubs, in school debates, and in musicals. Pitt graduated from Kickapoo High School in 1982. Pitt's parents, Jane and William Pitt, and his siblings, Doug Pitt and Julie Pitt Neal, still reside in Springfield.
