     Defeat the first four Gym Leaders in the Johto region.

     Travel to Azalea Town in southern Johto on a Friday.

     Walk east from Azalea Town to reach Route 33.

   • 4

     Enter Union Cave on Route 33.

     Walk northwest through the cave until you reach a fork. Continue west to find an underground pond.

     Use the Surf ability to travel south across the pond. Descend the stairs on the opposite side of the pond.

     Surf east across the next chamber, and descend the stairs on opposite end of the room.

   • 8

     Surf south through the next room until you find a strip of land on the west side of the chamber.

   • 9

     Walk south until you come across another large body of water.

   • 10

     Surf into the water and engage the level 20 Lapras.

   • 11

     Weaken Lapras with attacks. Lapras is weak to Fighting-, Rock-, Grass- and Electric-type attacks.

   • 12

     Throw a PokeBall to capture Lapras.

Tips & Warnings

• If you accidentally knock out Lapras before you capture it, you can try again next Friday.

• Initially, Lapras will have four attacks: Confuse Ray, Ice Shard, Water Pulse and Body Slam.

• During the battle with Lapras, Confuse Ray and Water Pulse might confuse your Pokemon, while Body Slam might leave them paralyzed.
