I know Maureen O'Hara tried many times but he was either faster with his face and ducked or he was faster with his hand and caught her arm just in time. There is at least one other movie where the leading lady smacks him. I just can't remember the name. I'll keep looking for this one. Footnote:If I remember correctly, I think it was a blonde.
